Call for Good Practices in Training for Gender Equality
The UN Women Training Centre is currently developing a Compendium of Good Practices in Training for Gender Equality. We invite submissions from trainers, commissioners, experts and researchers in Training for Gender Equality.
During the first phase, we are looking for examples where training for gender equality has been a success. These may be experiences of training and/or capacity development with a wide range of actors and institutions, such as UN bodies, national governments, regional institutions, NGOs, private sector etc.
Criteria for Good Practice in Training for Gender Equality
We consider a good practice in Training for Gender Equality to meet at least some of the following criteria:
We expect to revise the Criteria for Good Practice on an ongoing basis in response to the Good Practices submitted. The overall aim is to develop a Compendium of Good Practices to act as a global reference point in Training on Gender Equality, which we hope to publish before the end of 2014. This will also feed into the ongoing analytical work of the UN Women Training Centre in developing the concept of Good Practices.
Submitting a Good Practice in Training for Gender Equality

The Training Centre team will then review the Good Practice and request more information if necessary. Those Good Practices that are eventually selected for inclusion in the Compendium will be featured prominently in the Community of Practice and disseminated widely throughout UN Women's communications channels.
